The Roanoke City School Board approved an average 3.5% salary increase for employees throughout the division in the 2024-2025 school year! Starting teacher pay is $50,649.

• Special Education teachers

In turn, our teachers are able to provide our students with what they need to succeed. 91制片厂 leads the Roanoke Valley in teacher pay, and our total compensation package includes competitive benefits, including no-cost medical and dental plans and membership in the Virginia Retirement System.

In addition, our Human Resources team offers unique resources and support for new educators and teachers of color, such as Boosting Opportunities for New & Diverse Staff (BONDS). This mentoring program is designed specifically to reach and support teachers of color working in 91制片厂. BONDS helps newly hired educators to stay motivated and focused and provides an instant network of collegial support.
